Antihistamine

Hi

My husband is suffering from very itchy and swollen eyelids. I thought it was inflammation from the dasatinib but wondering if he could also have developed hay fever as I have it and this it the time of the year it kicks off hard. Although he has been having this issue on and off for the last month or so now. I saw some very old posts about antihistamines but wasn’t sure how safe they are to take. Apart from cold tea bags, and regular icing, any other suggestions ? He is also taking Curcumin but probably not a high enough quantity.

thanks Louise

It's almost certainly hay fever.

Quercetin is terrific at countering itchy swollen eyes. It is a natural anti-histamine

When I take it - sneezing, itchy eyes disappear.

You need to take it in enough dose, however, to be effective.

Curcumin works too, but you absolutely need to take enough of it to work.

Quercetin + Curcumin is a good combination.

Let us know if it works for your husband.

Thanks so much for such a speedy reply. I will get some today and keep you posted.

Hi Louise,

I often get dry eyes - not CML related, just always have. I have recently found carmellose sodium drops to be great at relieving that dry feeling. Really soothing.

Many allergies in the eye are caused by allergens trapped in the eye lashes
during the day and migrate to the eye orb during the day or night.
Eye lashes are a filter to protect the eye.
An allergist told me that. He also told me to keep the hands and face and
eye lashes clean and outside allergens will be of little concern.

If these allergies are caused by the medicine. I have no answers.
