Side effects of TKI therapies

Some people living with CML experience side effects which can seriously impact their wellbeing. If your GP or cancer specialist is unable to offer you much helpful advice about this important aspect of adhering to a treatment schedule, consider researching your side effects yourself.

Many changes take place in your body after treatment for CML. Once on treatment, there are various side effects you may (or may not) experience. Some people experience an initial period of side effects from TKI therapy, especially within the first three months.

The physical side effects you may or may not experience from TKI therapy fall into common, less common and rare or very rare categories. It depends largely on the individual, their own health and physiology.
