UK CML Patient Day 2018

We now have a confirmed date and place for the 2018 UK CML Patient Day. For the moment the date and place are the only details that have been confirmed.

The Agenda and Specialist Speakers will be confirmed within the next month or so.

We will also provide a link to registration and nominal payment when the link is in place.  

Webcast: we expect there will be a live webcast available, so those who cannot attend in person will be able to view the days proceedings and/or take part.

How do we access the    web cast for the meeting in Sept. at Brum?

It was a nightmare trying to find the last event  there .... no sat nav....

   I have cml    + on new generic imatinib + feeling rotten!

There will be a link for the webcast. I know last year there were some problems but hopefully, this year there will be more successful links. When the NCRI CML Subgroup finalises the details for the September conference, we will be able to share more information on this site with all relevant links etc.

The UK CML Patient Conference, 2018, will be held on the 22nd of September at The Priory Rooms in Birmingham.

The Priory Rooms are located at Bull St, which is in the centre of Birmingham and easily accessed from Birmingham New St station or Birmingham Snow Hill station.

For those needing to stay overnight, the Travelodge Birmingham Central and the Premier Inn Birmingham City Centre are both a short walk away from the Priory Rooms.

Is there anything like this in the U.S.?

Not to my knowledge - although I imagine a meeting like this would be more difficult to arrange in the US, it much larger than the UK.

The Specialist CML Clinicians in the UK are committed to continuing to support this meeting - the first of which was in 2002/3 I think!

They generously give their time, on a voluntary basis, in order that patients have access to the latest thinking/evidence regarding CML, no matter where they are treated. The UK City where the meeting is held changes every year so that those who cannot travel very far get a chance to meet with expert clinicians.

However, the good news is that this meeting will be available to all by webcast.

We will provide the link nearer the time, so if you can manage the time difference then it will certainly be worth watching.
