The Great Escape

An exercise in Fun...

Let’s suppose that if all of us were cured tomorrow
what would we do different in our everyday lives?
I would drink more, cuss more, tell people that
irritate me to , “Stand on their head’s and spit nickels”, more,
I’d  eat more Cheeseburgers and sleep late.

Now that I’m delicate and CML, I don’t do those things , but I want too!
Let’s have some fun...What would you all do If you could do anything?

It’s fun to escape difficult medicine...

Romo

I'd train for a cross-desert ultramarathon! A multi-desert mega race like the Big Red Run! Or maybe the Tarawera Ultramarathon in New Zealand next year.

Not planning to at this stage but if a miracle occurs and I do pull it off, I'll let you know Romo :)

Hi, I want to have not a glass but a bottle of red wine ,I talk more ,laugh more make some of my best decisions when I am slightly enebriated.Eat a big bar of chocolate.Go on holiday and sit in the sun and get a lovely tan .Go for a lovely long walk or a run without feeling knackered after a few minutes.Make plans for the future ,look forward to seeing my grandchildren grow up .Maybe even get my job back .But then I would take more care of my self ,not ignore my body when it’s telling me something is wrong,Stay fit and lose some weight so hopefully I don’t get sick in the future .Denise.

I would:  Work in my garden all day without it wrecking me for a week.  Visit my boys/have them here.  With their wife/girlfriend, even.  Throw a big Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Cook.  Walk.  Travel the way my husband wants to.  Do the hard kind of exercise classes and ballet. Be productive (on my terms) for a full day - AM, afternoon, PM.

None of these things can I do anymore.

Kat I would love to help you garden while we discussed Victorian literature. Gardening has always been my passion and stress reliever. I am sorry you can’t get out there as much as you want.

Louise - Sounds goodsmiley  I'm currently reading Penelope Lively's Life In the Garden.  Astounding to me how many plants she mentions that I've never heard of - even now, after so much time.  I tend to forget that gardening in England is a whole 'nother kettle of fish from the US.  I give Mr. Google a good workout as I read.

Kat if you love English gardens and have Netflix I recommend two UK  shows to watch: Big Dreams Small Spaces with Monty Don and Alan Titchmarshes’ Love Your Garden which creates gardens to bring joy for families enduring some truly tough times because of illness.

Thanks, Louise, I do have Netflix - I'll check these two out!
