though T3 , T4 level are under normal range TSH keeps increasing for every three months test i undergo. 5.98 before 3 months, 7.91microIU/mL now.

everytime i ask my doctor if i want to take medicines for TSH he is making me wait for next 3 more months.

i am worried as i am gaining weight and loosing all my hair day by day. can someone comment on this.

Dasatinib impact on thyroid function is well known

I developed full blown thyroiditis a few years ago and it correlated to when I stopped taking Sprcyel for nine months. Taking Sprcyel or stopping sprycel can impact the thyroid.

My suggestion is to not depend on your oncologist - he doesn't know. It would be wonderful if he would just admit it. You need to see a thyroid specialist who will likely prescribe thyroid hormone to boost your T4 levels and lead your TSH lower. Also - consider a daily iodine supplement (kelp). You want to be sure you are getting plenty of iodine to help your thyroid do its job.

I second the idea of seeing an endocrinologist.   My first oncologist saw no reason to check TSH for six month.    I asked my current onc to test and my TSH has increased to over 10    A week later it was 12. My endo increased my levothyroxine by 30% and my levels quickly responded.

I personally would see no reason to wait things out, especially when it’s an issue which can be easily addressed.
