Grape seed extract good for cml

A previous thread on forum here cited some academic publications relating to a supplement called resveratrol that is made from grape skins/seeds and some studies on animals and in lab indicated that this supplement when taken in combination with imatinib helped to treat  any resistant cells.I cannot find out if any studies have been undertaken involving CML patients in order back up these initial reports.

It is reputed that grapeseed extract and/or grapeskin extract preferably from black grapes has a therepeutic effect for individuals and I have seen statements that resveratrol not only in combination with tkis but taken on its own is a useful and possible treatment for CML.

Before we rush to eat lots  of red/black grapes or drown ourselves in red wine apparently the quantities needed would be enormous.

Well.......   perhaps moderation is called for when imbibing grape seed extract. 

These "vitamin" articles (like the British Daily Mail) usually cite unfounded claim such as "75% of patients are cured". There is an aspirin one in the Daily Mail today.

Here in 2008, the article claims "They found that within 24 hours, 76 percent of leukemia cells had died after being exposed to the extract.

I would question why haematologists do not have us all taking this magical extract.
