HI PEOPLE-well its been14months since im off gleevac(great drug my opionion)no CML detected-0.0000-so now its 18years since i was diagnosed in SLOAN KETTERING by my angel DR.NELY CATHCART!ill b 70in may-so far so good--to all u NEWBIES dont panic when diagnosed there r so many treatments available-when i was first diagnosed i had bone marrow aspirations every mo for 1yr then every 3mo then every 6mo after5yrs thats2006 no more bma-and back then no drugs no knocking u out u got it straight up just lanicane which is like nothingOUCH im 6ft3"245-it hurt like hell oh yeah im all tatooed so if i say OUCH imag-ps one time i fainted in ny-well people ill keep u all posted next post THANKSGIVING-good luck to us all--regards nigel--steven bagliore

Good for you!!! I too see someone at Sloan, they are all so wonderful! I remember my bone marrow aspiration, NOT done at sloan, and it was only with a topical , OMG 1000 times worse than childbirth or anything else I could ever imagine. Ad the doc I used then said, Yeah it hurts. Why don't they give you something for that pain!? I am so pleased for you that you have reached 0.0000 detection!!! I am also on Gleevec and my numbers have been good.
Will you monitor tho every once in awhile? Stay well!
