LEUKAEMIA PATIENTS SUPPORT GROUP, CATHERINE LEWIS CENTRE, HAMMERSMITH HOSPITAL, Du Cane Road, London W12 0HS
The next meeting of the Hammersmith Leukaemia Patient/Carers Support Group will be on Saturday 20/02/2016 at 10am for 10.30am – 1.00pm. This is an informal meeting, the purpose of which is for leukaemia patients and their carers to meet with others who understand what it is like to live with leukaemia. Although this is run at Hammersmith all Leukaemia patients and their caregivers, including those treated at other centres, are very welcome to attend. Newly diagnosed patients are very welcome. Consultant Haematologist, Dr. Dragana Milojkovic and Clinical Nurse Specialist, Irene Caballes, will talk about CML and TKI therapy. Gill Thomas from Macmillan Cancer Support will be there to help with any advice regarding benefits and allowances etc. This is always a popular meeting, so please email Steven Davies at stevendavies1920@gmail.com in order to confirm a place. This group is run in collaboration with the Hammersmith Support Nurses and support of the Hammersmith clinical team. Tea, Coffee & Soft drinks and snacks will be provided.
