Sprycel can suppress red blood cell production hence your low numbers.

I have the same issue. I compensate by making sure to take a high quality B-complex vitamin and a heme iron supplement.

It helped raise my hemoglobin to low normal. RBC is still unchanged, but each cell is carrying more hemoglobin. It helps.

Congratulations Chuck,

Given your recent dose reductions, your latest result is yet another example of less is more?

Hi Chuckster ,great news on all your zeros well done. Everybody seems to get  so much information about their blood results FISH ,PCR ,and every other abbreviation connected to CML .When I get mine my doc gives me my BCR- ABL last one was 0.79% ,then says my vitamin D is a bit low or haemaglobin is up ,all other bloods are normal things like that and that’s it .She asks how I am feeling and is very helpful if I have a problem or any questions .Should I be getting more information because you all are ?

Hi!

Check with the lab that is drawing your blood/and testing.

Depending on what tests your Doctors/ Oncologist is ordering, you should request  and receive a copy of ALL of your blood work/ xrays/etc test result numbers.

I get my results from 2 places- one from Quest Labs that does the actual blood drawing and testing and also from MY Charts Atlantic Health Care.com.

Very comprehensive test results!

All the best,

Chuck.
